About the Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Alberta Health Services as a Mental Health Therapist. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment to adults experiencing significant mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using a variety of treatment modalities.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop strategies for improvement.
- Provide consultation and referral services to clients and their families.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy.
- Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
- Experience working in community mental health and in a rural community is an asset.
