Your Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Camrose Addiction & Mental Health Clinic. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will use a variety of treatment modalities with adults experiencing significant mental health difficulties. You will work both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment.

Description:

As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to provide support to individuals experiencing significant mental health difficulties. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide crisis intervention and assessment services to adults experiencing significant mental health difficulties
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions
  • Conduct case management and referral services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and develop treatment plans
Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, with training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in community mental health and working in a rural community. Knowledge of brief therapy and other clinical modalities.
