Rehabilitation Aide

The Rehabilitation Aide, working under the direction of the Clinical Support Manager/Physical
Therapist/Occupational Therapist, is responsible for the provision of therapy services assisting the regulated
therapist with client service and support activities.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- High School Diploma
- Additional education in rehabilitation services is an asset
- Experience in rehabilitation services is an asset
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Facilitate a variety of exercise and rehabilitation interventions under the direction of the Physiotherapist- Maintaining and updating rehabilitation paperwork as directed by the therapist, and awareness of when
to refer a client to the therapist for reassessment
- Observation and communication with the therapist and co-workers regarding a client’s behaviour and
health status.
- Assist and encourage resident’s active participation in programming
- Assistance with the fabrication and maintenance of devices/adaptive equipment
- Adherence to charting guidelines and infection control as per policy and procedures
- Clerical duties, such as photocopying, documenting attendance, ordering equipment/supplies, etc.
