About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at Butter Block Bakery & Cafe. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough and batters for a range of baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality products
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer standards
  • Draw up production schedules to meet demand
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements
