Job Title: Drywall Installer

Maple Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and assist other workers in the installation process
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure proper fit and alignment
  • Apply joint compound to seams and joints, and smooth out excess compound
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy drywall sheets
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment:

As a Drywall Installer, you will work in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be required to relocate to different sites, and relocation costs will be covered by the employer.
