About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at S & M Drywall LTD. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a professional appearance
  • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a flawless finish
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a strong bond
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks
  • Flexibility and good judgement to adapt to changing project requirements
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and must be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling.
