Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Structural Engineer to lead our Horizontal Infrastructure Business Unit in delivering outstanding project results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, structural design, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage engineering assignments from pre-design to construction completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
  • Coordinate work with clients and other disciplines, including highway/road, electrical, drainage, and environmental planning
  • Analyze and evaluate design solutions for transportation structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and foundations
  • Provide direction and guidance to project team members and support staff through verbal and written instructions
  • Direct CAD teams for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to clients
  • Conduct business development activities to secure new projects through client liaison and proposal preparation
  • Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents, and cost estimates
  • Provide tender evaluations and/or construction engineering services
  • Work within assigned project budgets and schedules
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff on project work
Requirements
  • Prior experience in project management, with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles and transportation engineering practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to direct and mentor team members
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and experience with SAP2000, CSiBridge, and SFRAME
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to perform outdoor physical duties during bridge inspection work
