We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead dynamic projects at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. as part of our Buildings practice. This exciting opportunity is based in Moncton, Canada, with occasional travel to other locations.

About the Role
  • As a project lead, you will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering all electrical systems or products for various projects.
  • You will collaborate with team members, other disciplines, and clients to achieve project success.
  • Leading project coordination meetings and providing professional assurance to relevant authorities will also be part of your responsibilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate and recommend electrical engineered systems or products for projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  2. Collaborate with team members and clients to achieve project goals.
  3. Develop designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
  4. Utilize BIM technologies to create three-dimensional models of building's electrical systems.
  5. Prepare and revise documentation for various electrical phases.
  6. Lead project coordination meetings and client meetings.
  7. Participate in value analysis and basic cost estimating.
  8. Assist senior staff in managing project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
  9. Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
  10. Verify conformance with construction documents during field reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited university.
  • Eligibility for registration as a professional engineer in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the industrial/commercial/institutional sector.
  • Experience creating tender document packages and leading project coordination meetings.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health, dental, and vision plans, a well-being program, and more.

Location

This role is based in Moncton, Canada, with occasional travel to other locations within the province.
