Role Summary



We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support and Service Representative to join our team at Roche. This role will provide expert technical support and service for our Clinical Chemistry Portfolio, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.



Key Responsibilities





  • Provide technical expertise and support for hardware and application issues, installations, de-installations, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs for medical testing equipment.

  • Present Roche hardware, technical, and application solutions to customers, conduct pre-site inspections, instrument updates, modifications, and customer training.

  • Act as a senior expert for specific product lines, serving as a source for issue escalation and acting as a trusted advisor to customers, assisting sales with RFPs.

  • Lead complex projects from start to finish, completing administrative tasks and documentation in a timely manner.

  • Utilize technical documentation abilities to record customer interactions and visits, maintaining tools and trunk stock.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across functional units, actively participating in meetings and establishing key performance indicators.

  • Demonstrate expertise in regulated medical testing environments, ensuring compliance with Health Canada, and providing guidance for recalls.



Requirements





  • Post-secondary education in electronic technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a science-based field of study along with 3+ years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory environment.

  • Demonstrate Roche's mindset and behaviors with a strong customer and patient focus, simplify processes, and encourage experimentation and learning.

  • Exceptional communication skills, along with strong mechanical, technical, application abilities, and understanding of IT and networking.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under pressure.

  • Maintain a consistent customer-centric mindset, manage complex projects effectively, and be familiar with the RFP process with a strong commercial focus.

  • Excel at organization, prioritization, and time management skills, with flexibility for frequent travel and availability for 24/7 standby rotation.

  • Proficiency in French language would be considered an asset.
