Job Description

The Technical Support Specialist is a vital role within our organization, responsible for providing top-notch technical assistance to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems. As a key member of the ACORN team, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless support and effective problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Consult technical documentation and resources to identify solutions and implement fixes.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on software applications and system usage.
  • Maintain accurate records of problems and solutions for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other teams to design and improve software applications and IT infrastructure.
  • Supervise junior technical support staff and provide mentorship and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure business systems, network, and internet services are functioning optimally and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Set up and configure equipment for employee use, including installation of operating systems and software.
  • Perform backup and recovery operations for web servers.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of computer systems and technical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with users and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high levels of pressure.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional development, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive health and wellness program.
