About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Innovation Specialist to join our team at Solina Canada. As a key member of our research and development department, you will play a crucial role in conceptualizing, developing, and fine-tuning new food products and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct studies and trials for the development of industrial innovations in the food industry.
  • Develop new food products that meet the company's quality standards.
  • Characterize the properties of new products and adjust existing ones to optimize their performance.
  • Define the biochemical conditions of new products to ensure they meet customer requirements.
  • Determine the shelf life of new products to ensure they remain fresh and safe for consumption.
  • Research new ingredients to meet specified parameters and develop recipes that showcase their unique characteristics.
  • Conduct tests to qualify products according to defined formulations and specifications.
  • Update technical sheets, nutritional values, allergen sheets, and certificates of analysis for raw materials to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze data, interpret results, draft reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit technical information to support product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Act as a technical expert for various internal and external sectors, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in R&D in dehydrated and liquid food products.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a scientific approach.
  • Structured, organized, and results-oriented with excellent communication skills.
