Fiber Optic Cable Facilities Inspector

Job Summary:
The Construction Inspector will play a vital role in our project management team, overseeing construction activities for aerial, buried, and underground fiber optic cable facilities. Effective communication with project managers, engineers, drafters, and administrative personnel is crucial to ensure projects are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of construction activities for fiber optic cable facilities in both office and field environments.
- Daily on-site work with construction crews in various weather conditions.
- Ensure correct facility depths, placement, and sequence numbering.
- Measure and record installed quantities in coordination with multiple crews.
- Maintain quality standards in accordance with project specifications.
- Operate and maintain field equipment and tools.
- Communicate daily with project managers, engineers, and administrative personnel.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Identify and resolve construction conflicts or proposed changes.
- Ensure construction/engineering standards/specifications are adhered to.
- Interact with landowners, permit agencies, and company departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Available for mobilization, valid driver's license, and clean MVR.
- Ability to work in adverse settings and climatic conditions.
- Skilled at managing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, walk, move, lift, and carry equipment (> 20lb).
- Basic knowledge of telecommunication and/or electrical distribution systems is a plus.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and high integrity.
- Travel required up to 80% and overtime as needed.
