Accounting and Reporting Leadership Opportunity

ATB Financial is seeking an experienced Accounting and Reporting leader to join our team as Associate Vice President, Enterprise Accounting & Reporting. In this strategic role, you will lead the accounting functions of the organization, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial and management accounting records and the appropriate application of accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual report, including planning, coordination, project management, data reconciliation, and benchmarking results against ATB's peers.
  • Direct the ASFI regulatory reporting function, ensuring accuracy and completeness of reports, liaising with the regulator, and leading the evolution of report processes.
  • Act as a key subject matter expert, providing timely and complete financial information to Senior Management and Board Committees.
  • Lead, build, and maintain a multi-functional team of professionals to support financial and regulatory reporting processes.
  • Foster and maintain a strong control environment.
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required, along with a CPA designation.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, comfortable presenting at all levels of the organization, including Senior Management and the Board.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
