Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is a key role within the Brock Group, responsible for driving regional sales growth and business development opportunities. This position requires a strong understanding of the industry and a proven track record of success in sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve profitable growth and meet business objectives.
  • Pursue new business opportunities through networking, direct sales, and market research, with a focus on expanding the company's presence in the region.
  • Manage client relationships, communicate with operations teams, and corporate offices to ensure seamless activity and progress.
  • Identify and capitalize on trendsetter ideas by researching industry trends, events, publications, and announcements, as well as tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials, and make recommendations for equity investments.
  • Engage in sales and marketing activities to drive growth and development of the Brock Group's business across Canada.
  • Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary education (diploma or degree) preferred.
  • Industry experience is a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the scaffold, insulation, and fireproofing business, as well as its competitive environment.
  • Considerable experience in a sales-related position, with a consistent track record of growing company sales and targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a high level of professionalism and a motivation for sales while respecting diversity of opinions and an open, clear, and succinct communication style.
  • Highly effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
  • Extensive understanding of the regional marketplace, clients, and competitors.
