About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Travel Consultant to join our team at Transat. As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for helping our customers plan and book their dream vacation.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on travel options offered by our various partners;
- Network and promote new travel business and grow your repeat client base;
- Meet established monthly and yearly sales and revenue targets;
- Quickly determine specific client needs and source solutions using all tools available;
- Sell travel packages in all product categories including the preparation of complex itineraries using various booking platforms (Apollo; Sirev);
- Be alert to changing trends; customer needs and be able to adapt the services to the client's needs even when difficult circumstances arise.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years sales experience within a retail environment and consistently meet sales targets;
- Ability to influence through effective sales and prospecting techniques while building friendly and positive business relationships;
- Advanced communication skills combined with an outgoing and energetic nature;
- Experience leveraging social media and learning new software quickly;
- Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule, available to work outside of normal business hours to attend trade shows, conventions, and business events or to complete any agreed upon task;
- The willingness to obtain your TICO or OPC for agencies in QC certification if you do not already have it.
