About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Provincial Professional Practice Consultant for Psychology. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the practice integrity of Clinical Psychologists, Coordinator of Clinical Training for Psychology, Psychometrists, Clinical Sexologist, Music Therapists, and Art Therapists across our province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate structures that support professional practice through a Professional Practice Model.
  • Support the development of psychology operational plans in line with our strategic directions.
  • Collaborate with programs and departments to ensure client-centered care and best practices.
  • Work closely with psychologists, creative arts therapists, sexologists, and managers to identify policies and continuing professional development opportunities.
  • Liaise with outside agencies, such as educational institutions, professional colleges/associations, unions, and the Department of Health and Community Services.
Requirements
  • Registered Psychologist with the NL Psychology Board.
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive clinical and professional leadership experience in psychology.
  • Strong knowledge of Psychology professional practice issues and standards.
  • Demonstrated progressive clinical, management, and leadership experience, with a focus on quality patient/resident/client care.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and change management skills.
