Position Overview
As a key member of the senior management team, the Provincial Director of Workforce Management is tasked with leading the transformation and strategic oversight of staffing and scheduling services across NL Health Services. This role involves the development and execution of policies, standards, and frameworks that enhance operational efficiency and quality in workforce management.
About NL Health Services
NL Health Services is a comprehensive health authority formed by integrating five previous health entities. Our mission is to deliver exceptional health and community services to over half a million residents, supported by a dedicated workforce of more than 22,000 professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in the design and implementation of workforce management policies and practices.
- Collaborate with executive leaders to establish long-term goals and objectives aligned with the organization's mission.
- Engage with various stakeholders to develop effective staffing models that support patient care.
- Lead initiatives focused on auditing, quality assurance, and change management within the workforce.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field is essential; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Experience: A minimum of five years in progressively responsible healthcare management roles, with substantial experience in Integrated Capacity Management solutions.
- Skills: Expertise in change management strategies, strong analytical capabilities, and proficiency in workforce management tools and software.
- Other Requirements: Willingness to travel as necessary and maintain a satisfactory record of work performance.
