About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Arterra Wines Canada, Inc. in Niagara Falls. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising, developing, and leading all activities related to bottle shop and sanitation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan daily production requirements, ensuring efficient use of labor, product changeovers, and component supplies.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and develop plans to maintain production continuity.
  • Develop and train operations staff on new safety programs and procedures.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including payroll, FCR, DOR, vacation schedules, and email communication, to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and data management.
  • Supervise Kronos operations and hire, train, and develop employees.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on target KPIs such as line startup, line change, right-first-time production, and production KPIs like line speed, downtime, overtime, and general case per hour.
  • Adhere to HACCP and ISO procedures, ensuring accurate record-keeping and employee compliance.
  • Participate in meetings, including daily production meetings, weekly operations meetings, and monthly union employee meetings.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, conducting risk analyses and promoting employee well-being.

Requirements:

  • College graduate with 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy, including Excel, JDE, Kronos, and other relevant software.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and practices.

Compensation: Budgeted range: $77,426.00 - $100,198.00
