Field Claims Representative

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Claims Representative to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a Field Claims Representative, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex commercial and personal lines property claims in a timely and respectful manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to investigate claims, gathering information and evidence to determine coverage and assess damage.
- Document claim files, meeting with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary reports and statements.
- Analyze information, interpret insurance policy wording, and determine coverage.
- Negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims within established authority limits.
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance products, appraisal, and investigation techniques.
Requirements
- 3+ years of property claims experience, with prior experience as a field adjuster preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Strong aptitude for technology and excellent computer skills.
- Xactanalysis and Xactimate experience is an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
