Job Summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Claims Representative Intern. As a Claims Representative Intern, you will be responsible for investigating and assembling facts, determining policy coverage, and evaluating the amount of loss.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and analyze claims to determine policy coverage and evaluate the amount of loss.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of insurance policies, endorsements, and forms.
  • Work towards the resolution of claims, including attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of claims.
  • Provide exceptional service to agents, policyholders, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct investigations by phone, mail, and on-site.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled and entering junior or senior year in college.
  • Above-average communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Organize and interpret data.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Detail-oriented.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $19/hour. Returning interns qualify for a higher rate of pay. This position is also eligible for a bonus opportunity.
