About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at Spacestar Drywall LTD. as a key member of our installation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations for drywall installation projects.
  • Supervise and lead a team of 3-4 workers to ensure efficient and high-quality installation.
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a seamless finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency for optimal results.
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, ensuring a sturdy installation.
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings to enhance sound quality and aesthetics.
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs, vapour barriers, and thermal and sound insulation to meet building codes and standards.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a rural area, exposed to dusty, hot, and noisy conditions. The role requires the ability to work outdoors and relocate as needed.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in drywall installation, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead a team of 3-4 workers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
