About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at Spacestar Drywall LTD. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Estimation: Prepare tenders and quotations for drywall projects, ensuring accurate estimates of costs and materials.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of 3-4 workers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
  • Wall Installation and Finishing: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster, measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, and mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency.
  • Surface Preparation and Cleaning: Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Material Handling and Installation: Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, install exterior and interior steel studs, and install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
  • Acoustic and Texture Finishing: Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Cost Estimation and Management: Estimate costs and materials for drywall projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and project management.
Work Environment
  • Work Site Environment: The work site environment is dusty, hot, noisy, and outdoors.
  • Work Setting: The work setting is in a rural area, and the company is willing to relocate.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience.
