About This Role

CAE is seeking a highly skilled Global Mobility Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Global Mobility department, you will be responsible for managing the team and ensuring that international mobility policies and processes are followed by all business units throughout the world.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partner with senior leadership of all business units to integrate mobility practices into the company's overall talent management strategy
  2. Develop and implement flexible global mobility policies based on best market practices and global regulations that support the company's business needs
  3. Ensure compliance with tax regulation, social security, and immigration matters associated with international assignments, transfers, and frequent business travelers
  4. Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure the operationalization of all Global Mobility processes
  5. Advocate alignment with legal compliance practices related to Global Mobility policies, evaluate the potential financial risks of certain international assignments, and respond to inquiries from government authorities when required
  6. Define the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders, define mobility processes, and implement a suitable global mobility management model
  7. Put in place robust databases and define the management tools required to properly monitor all files
  8. Put in place communication tools within the company to ensure that roles and responsibilities of the Global Mobility department are known across the company
  9. Select, manage, and evaluate service providers (immigration, taxation, relocation services, medical coverage)
  10. Monitor the overall satisfaction of expatriates and CAE internal clients with regards to global mobility services offered
  11. Lead a team of advisors, specialized in Global Mobility

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (Human Resources, Taxation, Management)
  2. More than 12 years of experience in Global Mobility and/or immigration
  3. 3-5 years of experience in a management position
  4. Solid knowledge of global mobility issues (taxation, payroll, social security, immigration)
  5. Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills (bilingual – French and English)
  6. Strong business strategy skills
  7. Ability to easily develop and maintain good working relationships with a network of suppliers
  8. Team management experience, including overseeing, training, coaching, and performance management
  9. Ability to cope with stress and capability to take quick decisions in a constantly changing environment
  10. Strategic vision of international mobility issues and good business acumen
  11. Autonomous, creative, focused on achieving solutions
