Freight Brokerage Executive Opportunity

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a seasoned Freight Brokerage Executive to join our client's team in Dieppe, New Brunswick. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's freight brokerage and 3PL services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the strategic direction of the Freight Brokerage division, working closely with the executive team to achieve short and long-term goals.
  • Lead a team of operations, sales, and administrative personnel to drive growth and performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with rail and intermodal service providers to ensure compliance with Irving requirements.
  • Work with the IGM Corporate VP of Supply Chain to capture business and minimize the use of outside 3 and 4PL providers.
  • Meet negotiated rates and services with all Freight Brokerage service providers.

Requirements:

  • University degree in business, logistics, or equivalent experience.
  • CITT-Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) designation or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience leading a team in the Freight Brokerage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation, logistics, and freight forwarding industry.
  • Superior communication skills, ability to influence, and high degree of business acumen.
