Freight Brokerage Executive

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a seasoned Freight Brokerage Executive to lead our client's freight brokerage division. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for establishing the strategic direction of the division, driving growth, and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the freight brokerage division, including identifying new business opportunities and exploring expansion into new markets.
  • Lead a team of operations, sales, and administrative personnel to achieve goals and stretch targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with carriers, rail, and intermodal service providers to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the client's corporate team to capture business and minimize the use of outside 3 and 4PL providers.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and stay up-to-date on industry trends, pricing, and customer needs.

Requirements:

  • University degree in business, logistics, or equivalent experience.
  • CITT-Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) designation or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience leading teams in the freight brokerage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation, logistics, and warehousing industry.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of driving results and building high-performing teams.
