Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a seasoned Freight Brokerage Executive to lead our client's freight brokerage division. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for establishing the strategic direction of the division, driving growth, and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the freight brokerage division, leveraging industry relationships and market insights.
  • Lead a high-performing team of logistics professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, rail, and intermodal service providers, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the IGM Corporate VP of Supply Chain to capture business opportunities and minimize the use of outside 3 and 4PL providers.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, staying informed about pricing, key customers, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • University degree in business, logistics, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in freight brokerage or a related industry.
  • CITT-Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) designation or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of leadership, with experience in operations, sales, and administrative roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation, logistics, and freight forwarding industries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate a team.
