Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Specialist - Investment Services to join our team in Montreal or Ottawa. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to leverage their expertise in investment products and customer service skills to drive business success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing industry-leading client service
- Executing trade orders on behalf of clients
- Maintaining expert knowledge of investment products and market trends
- Identifying and pursuing cross-sell and referral opportunities
- Developing and executing business development strategies to drive sales growth
- Collaborating with the management team to identify business opportunities and implement solutions
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in the investment industry
- Fluency in French and English
- A minimum of 1 year of sales experience with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Broad knowledge of investment products, including equities, fixed income, and mutual funds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize risk
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of back-office functionalities and securities settlement procedures
- College Diploma/University Degree
Preferred qualifications include:
- CSC (Canadian Securities Course)
- CPH (Canadian Professional Financial Planning course)
- IIROC licensed as an IR and DFOL (Derivative Fund Options License)
