Job Title: Injection Moulding Machine Lead Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Injection Moulding Machine Lead Operator to join our team at 600956 Ontario Ltd. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of injection moulding machine operators, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality plastic products. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to produce high-quality plastic products.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity.
  • Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products.
  • Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for the injection moulding process.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient production.
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to optimize production.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in injection moulding machine operation and leadership.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Standing for extended periods.
