Job Title: Injection Moulding Machine Lead Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Injection Moulding Machine Lead Operator to join our team at 600956 Ontario Ltd. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of injection moulding machine operators, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the production process. This includes troubleshooting and making minor adjustments to equipment, weighing resins and chemicals according to formulae, and monitoring the quality of material produced.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to ensure accurate mixing.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to meet quality standards.
  • Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity.
  • Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products.
  • Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for the injection moulding process.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in injection moulding machine operation and leadership.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods.
