Salary

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $112,225 and $149,633 per year, based on the college's location and industry standards.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced academic leader to join our team as an Associate Dean of the School of Accounting and Finance. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide collaborative academic leadership and management of the school, aligning with the strategic initiatives of the college's academic plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborative Leadership: Work collaboratively with the Dean and leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for the Centre and School.
  2. People Management: Supervise approximately 80-100 employees, conducting effective hiring, orienting, and developing faculty, managers, and support staff.
  3. Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts and address complaints from employees and students, managing complex team dynamics effectively.
  4. Program Development: Initiate, facilitate, and lead the review, development, implementation, and quality assurance of new and existing programs and initiatives.
  5. Curriculum Development: Ensure that the objectives of the School are attained through effective supervision of the teaching and learning processes.
  6. Partnership Development: Lead partnership development with external academic and community partners, ensuring positive brand awareness of programs.
  7. Budget Management: Lead the development, monitoring, and directing of the School's operating budget.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree is required; a Doctorate degree is preferred.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum nine (9) years of experience in the education field, including management/leadership experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated administrative/leadership experience, including developing and managing budgets, administration of policies and procedures, and management of human resources.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience in fostering excellence in teaching and learning and academic programming.
