Standards Development Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Standards Development Manager to join our team at CSA Group, a leading organization in the development of national standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking projects from start to finish, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborating with volunteer experts across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new standards needs/business cases, recruit members, manage committees, facilitate technical content development, and conduct broader consultations to prepare high-quality documents.
- Manage project portfolios, contribute to team goals, and demonstrate leadership and subject knowledge in assigned areas.
- Facilitate consensus amongst volunteer experts, manage budgets, and resolve conflicts through effective negotiation.
Requirements
- A post-secondary degree in biomedical engineering, kinesiology, health sciences, or a related field; an advanced degree is an asset.
- Minimum 3-5 years of project management or standards development experience in a relevant field.
- PMP designation and knowledge of accessibility standards or experience working with organizations assisting persons with disabilities are assets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong writing skills and reporting abilities for communicating with stakeholders and audiences.
- Public speaking and presentation skills, as well as relationship-building and business development skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement plan and paid time off.
