Job Summary:

CSA Group is currently seeking an Environmental Standards Development Manager to facilitate the development of standards related to environment and climate change.

This includes standards for a diverse collection of subjects, such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, recycling, circularity, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of standards development, primarily involving the management of multiple environment standards development committees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Committee management and leadership, including establishing the scope of work, managing required resources, and providing ongoing project management leadership.
  • Identifying, developing, securing, and driving new business opportunities within or related to environment and climate change.
  • Determining and managing the resources required to complete a project, ensuring deliverables are achieved on-time and within budget.
  • Ensuring appropriate coordination with other departments involved in the development and publication of standards or other business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Technologist or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in an environment-related field, including circular economy, GHG management, climate change, and business or environmental management systems.
  • Knowledge of the standards industry, government policy, industry landscape, and funding programs/models.
  • Experience leading or working with multi-stakeholder committees or groups.
  • Experience in writing proposals, business plans, and technical documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Designation as a Certified Project Management Professional, or equivalent designation/experience.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
