Palliative Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Palliative Medicine Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our palliative care team, you will provide clinical services in acute care settings and community-based patients. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care and contributing to our comprehensive palliative care services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in palliative medicine, with a Royal College subspecialty certification. You will be eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and possess excellent communication skills. A minimum of one year enhanced skills residency or Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) from the College of Family Physicians of Canada is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultation services in acute care settings and community-based patients
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in under-graduate and post-graduate teaching programs in affiliation with the Division of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive compensation package that includes remuneration by service contract at a rate set provincially by the Ministry of Health. In addition, you will receive Alternative Payment Plan and MOCAP - On Call Payments as part of your benefits package.
