We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Leader to join our Palliative Care team in North Vancouver. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients and their families.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for palliative care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans, providing education and support to patients, families, and caregivers. Your expertise will help shape the future of palliative care at VCH, shaping policy and practice that supports the needs of patients and families across our health region.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting excellence in patient-centered care.
- Develop and implement patient-centered care plans, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Promote evidence-based practice, staying up-to-date with best practices in palliative care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to enhance patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a post-basic specialty nursing certificate or program in palliative care.
- Three (3) years' recent experience in palliative care, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for local area travel.

Compensation PackageThe estimated annual salary range for this position is $63,716-$83,987, based on your qualifications and experience. This figure includes base salary and additional compensation, such as extended health benefits and pension plan contributions.
