We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team at the Red Deer Catholic Regional Division No. 39. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business results and support our mission to provide exceptional education to our students.
Key Responsibilities- HR Department Management: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to support the strategic goals of the school division.
- Attendance Support: Develop and implement attendance support programs to reduce absenteeism and support employee well-being.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legislation, labour standards, government, and regulatory requirements, as well as Division policies and procedures.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and a minimum of 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, including management roles in a unionized environment. The ideal candidate will have strong HR generalist skills, including labour and human rights legislation, compensation, job evaluation, recruitment, retention, organization development, wellness, and talent management.
