About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate to join our Capital Markets Operational Risk and Resilience (CM ORR) team within the CM Risk and Regulatory Service (RRS) group. As an Associate, Business Continuity and Risk Management, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of our Operational Resilience and Risk Management programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crisis and Continuity Management
    • Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs) for all Capital Markets business units globally.
    • Collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders to gather information and obtain approvals for BCP updates.
    • Design and implement efficient processes for information gathering and executive signoffs on documentation.
    • Partner with enterprise Resilience and Integration (R&I) to ensure Quality Assurance (QA) Review process completion.
    • Manage call tree notification system updates and Business Continuity Testing, including Disaster Recovery (D/R) and notification system management.
  • Operational Resilience
    • Refresh the Critical Business Products/Services (CBPS) List bi-annually, identifying products with significant systemic impact internally and externally.
    • Document critical resources needed to deliver CBPS, including system applications, workforce, and third-party exposures.
    • Update the Impact Tolerance Statement bi-annually to reflect changing business needs.
    • Conduct Scenario Testing with Ops Res to identify gaps and vulnerabilities, and establish action plans for remediation.
  • Operational Risk
    • Support the development and maintenance of the CM Process, Risk and Control (PRC) Library.
    • Conduct Product/Service, Process Risk Assessments (PSPRA) for Capital Markets business units.
    • Execute on key Operational Risk projects and initiatives, as required.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Graduate degree or professional designations in a related field are an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in Banking/Financial Institution/Management Consulting, with relevant Business Risk exposure, including Business Continuity, Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Cyber Security, Third Party Risk, Technology Resiliency, Legal, AML, etc.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory landscape and industry practices related to Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience, and Operational Risk.
  • Experience in responding to and dealing with significant problems and crises.
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of Capital Markets products, services, and systems.
  • Knowledge of the various risks and controls associated with Capital Markets' business activities.
  • Advanced Office Suite proficiency, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
