Nurse Care Specialist

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at our Shelburne location.
About the Role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care, while also working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor residents' health needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing emotional support.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that residents receive comprehensive care.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are providing high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the care we provide.
Requirements
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registered/eligible for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of our residents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
