About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide resident care in accordance with established nursing standards, principles, and administrative policies.
- Assess residents' health needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Monitor residents' health, report changes in condition, and refer to physicians as necessary.
- Organize and direct functions related to the provision of care, including restorative care and palliative care.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff, and participate in in-service education.
Requirements
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, including infection control.
- Effective human relations skills and a commitment to working with seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
