Join our team at Southbridge Care Homes, a leading provider of long-term care services, as a Registered Nurse. We are seeking a caring, passionate, and enthusiastic individual to provide compassionate and quality care to our residents.
About the Role
- Provide resident care in accordance with established nursing standards and principles, physicians' orders, and administrative policies.
- Assess and monitor residents, developing, implementing, reviewing, and evaluating resident care plans.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff, including orientations and other supervisory duties.
- Monitor performance, conduct performance appraisals, and refer problems to the Director of Care.
- Provide direction to the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Care.
Requirements
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A passion for caring for seniors and a serving heart.
- Registered/eligible for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skills.
- Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the "big picture".
