Your Role at Arc'teryx: As a Quality Assurance Specialist, your primary responsibility is to uphold the integrity of the Arc'teryx brand by conducting thorough quality assessments on products and raw materials utilized and produced at our manufacturing facility. Your key responsibilities include performing in-line quality evaluations, conducting water resistance tests, inspecting raw materials, and collaborating with both quality and production teams to address any quality-related challenges.

The Manufacturing Quality Assurance team is dedicated to ensuring that all products manufactured meet the high-quality standards and expectations of Arc'teryx. Our essential mission is to guarantee a positive customer experience while maintaining the brand's integrity.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, here are some of the essential tasks you would undertake:

Familiarizing yourself with Arc'teryx product specifications, including samples, testing methodologies, and the Arc'teryx Quality Assurance manual, and learning how to apply them during inspections. Conducting water resistance tests on the production line assigned to you. Performing in-line inspections for workmanship and defects in accordance with company standards. Efficiently executing quality assessments to meet daily production goals. Documenting inspection results and completing all necessary paperwork promptly. Alerting relevant supervisors to any discrepancies identified between approved samples and production outcomes. Collaborating with operators, team leaders, and supervisors to resolve quality issues. Participating in various projects and tasks as assigned, including but not limited to 5S initiatives and other housekeeping duties.

Future Opportunities:

Conducting inline quality control inspections on a diverse range of products, including both waterproof and non-waterproof garments, harnesses, technical packs, and more. Performing quality assessments on raw materials and pre-production processes. Executing quality control inspections in specialized environments, such as down filling rooms.

You possess prior experience in quality control and/or the garment industry. You demonstrate accurate color perception. You have basic English verbal and written communication skills. You exhibit a keen attention to detail. You can work independently and efficiently without direct supervision while also being an effective team player. You possess excellent organizational skills and adaptability. You have basic computer skills, including the ability to operate a tablet and perform simple data entry. You have strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism. You proactively identify root causes of issues and develop effective solutions. You can balance independence with collaboration. You strive for the best solutions, demonstrating unwavering commitment.

Additional Assets:

You have basic knowledge of a second spoken language. You are familiar with Arc'teryx's unique product offerings. Your passion for your work is matched by your enthusiasm for outdoor activities.

Compensation: The starting pay for skilled factory workers is CAD$19 per hour. Please note that this figure reflects base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits.
