Role: Safety Officer

Employment Type: Part-Time - Day Shifts

Compensation: $19.00/hour

Site Overview:

Partners Community Health is a charitable organization dedicated to integrating healthcare services to meet the needs of residents in the area.

We collaborate with community partners to create a patient-centered care system.

Partners Community Health operates two modern Long-Term Care facilities and a senior hub, providing comprehensive care to the community.


Essential Duties:
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols during assigned shifts.
  • Prepare reports and investigate routine incidents.
  • Respond swiftly to emergency situations.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills while assisting individuals in distress.
  • Maintain physical fitness to perform duties effectively.
  • Engage with vulnerable populations.
  • Identify and escalate security concerns as necessary.
  • Assist in formulating security strategies for high-risk individuals.
  • Provide a visible security presence throughout the facility.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.
  • Supervise and support patient watch personnel.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications:
  • Immunization Records (including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB tests)
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • COVID Vaccination (fully vaccinated)

Required Certifications:
  • First Aid & CPR - Level C
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior
  • Use of Force Training
  • Report Writing Skills
  • Additional training as required
