Job Title: Director, Corporate Communications and Brand PR

About the Role:

Tangerine Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Corporate Communications and Brand PR to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that drives the CEO's leadership profile, Tangerine's brand, culture, and strategic positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement external and internal communications strategies that drive business results and enhance the Tangerine brand.
  • Lead the development of executive profiles, laddering to the Tangerine brand and promoting visibility, externally and internally.
  • Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to execute on programs, including philanthropic donations and community involvement.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Office of the President on all client-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain Tangerine's overall strategic communications calendar.
  • Partner across the organization on various change initiatives and drive the agenda for change-related communications.
  • Be responsible for the overall Communications & ESG budget.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of professional communications experience with a proven track record of outstanding results.
  • A minimum of 3 years of people and project management experience with direct reports.
  • University Degree/College Diploma or equivalent experience in Communications.
  • Solid understanding of communication theory and best practices.
  • Advanced writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • A strategic understanding of channels in relation to internal and external communications needs.
