Job Title: Parliamentary Office Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parliamentary Office Director to join our team at Working for a Member of Parliament | Travailler pour un(e) député(e).

About the Role

The Parliamentary Office Director will provide strategic support to the Member of Parliament in their parliamentary office, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and the effective management of the Member's time and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Member of Parliament, including managing their calendar, coordinating meetings and events, and handling correspondence.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with stakeholders and the public.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with parliamentary procedures and policies, providing expert advice and guidance to the Member of Parliament.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a parliamentary office or a similar environment.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
