Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our team. As an Application Engineer, you will provide technical support and guidance to our customers, working closely with our engineering team to develop and implement solutions for our underwater sensors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, including remote and on-site training and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to develop and implement solutions for our underwater sensors
  • Support sales efforts by developing solutions for new opportunities
  • Execute data processing to generate 3D data deliverables
  • Develop and maintain training documentation
  • Be the voice of the customer within Voyis, providing post-delivery feedback and feature requests that inform the product roadmap
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 2+ years experience in Technical Support, Surveying, or Data Processing fields
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate and collaborate with a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, prioritizing tasks to maximize impact
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills
  • General understanding of mechanical, electrical, networking, and software systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with subsea survey or exploration
  • Experience in offshore/ocean survey
  • Exposure working directly with customers, or in a customer supporting role
  • Data processing – photo processing, 3D modeling, point clouds, photogrammetry, GIS
  • Software programming exposure
  • Knowledge of optical systems – cameras, lights, and laser scanners
  • Passion for photography
