We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at 2222914 Ontario Limited. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook food to order, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we always have the necessary resources to meet demand.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Staff Training: Train and develop kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills and performance.
- Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring that we always have the necessary resources to meet demand.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, team player, time management.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all food preparation and cooking.
- Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, lifting and carrying heavy objects as required.
- Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, such as food preparation and cooking, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent Oral Communication: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and customers.
- Flexibility: Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Judgement: Make sound decisions in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
