Position Overview

The Finance Department within the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration is on the lookout for contract educators.

Key Responsibilities:
Instructors will be expected to competently deliver the following courses:

  • Personal Finance I (FINC 2300)
  • Personal Finance II (FINC 3300)
CFP Capstone Course (FINC 4370) - along with additional finance courses such as FINC1231.

The selected candidate will be responsible for guiding students, enhancing their learning experience, and assessing their academic progress. You will design, organize, and implement educational activities.

Your goal will be to provide students with the essential knowledge, resources, and support necessary for their success, all while maintaining a high-quality, student-focused approach to higher education.

Qualifications for Success:
- A PhD, MBA, ABD status, or a relevant Master’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
- A combination of three years of professional and teaching experience in a field closely related to the assigned teaching duties, particularly in financial planning practice, along with a recognized industry designation: Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

  • Proven ability to teach advanced courses at the post-secondary level, with preference given to candidates who have demonstrated successful teaching experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and educational technologies.
