Position Overview:
Our client, a prominent player in the Industrial Equipment sector, is seeking to onboard a skilled HR Consultant to enhance their Human Resources team. This role encompasses the management of daily HR operations, focusing on employee relations, talent acquisition, comprehensive payroll management, and benefits oversight. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment, which includes drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, interviewing candidates, and performing reference checks.
  • Prepare onboarding materials and facilitate the integration of new hires.
  • Oversee payroll processes and manage budget allocations.
  • Administer and oversee the company's benefits program.
  • Maintain and process confidential employee records in compliance with provincial regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, legal standards, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare and submit Records of Employment (ROEs) and manage employee separations.
  • Conduct year-end reconciliations, and prepare for Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) and tax obligations as necessary.
  • Manage job creation and conduct compensation analysis.
  • Address employee relations matters, including complaints, and lead investigations as required.
  • Foster team cohesion by organizing staff events and other social gatherings.
  • Perform research and provide insights across various HR disciplines as needed.
  • Execute additional HR and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Knowledge of multi-provincial payroll laws, employment regulations, and tax guidelines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality, empathy, and discretion.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
