Black & McDonald's Accounting & Finance team is expanding. We're seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing hourly unionized payroll under the direction of the Payroll Manager. Your primary focus will be on performing tasks and responsibilities related to payroll processing, including but not limited to:

* Interpreting and updating wage schedules, burden tables, and monthly union reconciliation
* Accurate and timely end-to-end processing of payrolls and payments via direct deposit
* Responding to payroll inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
* Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual returns for provincial items like WSIB/WCB, EHT
* Preparing annual T4, RL1, T2200

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to cope under pressure, and maintain focus while dealing with setbacks. You will also need to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to work independently under limited supervision. Additionally, you will need to have a completed PCP designation with NPI and at least 3 years of work experience in Payroll. Knowledge of JD Edwards or ERP system in-house is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and vlookup, pivot tables, is also required.
