Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at CB Canada. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for processing the full cycle of payroll, including weekly payrolls, union, non-union, and salary payments.
Key Responsibilities:- Process weekly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure all government and 3rd party payments are issued accurately, weekly and monthly
- Prepare weekly journal entries pertaining to payroll
- Year End – balance, prepare and issue year-end documentation for all provincial and federal requirements
- Review to ensure all new hire and terminations are processed accordingly
- Prepare record of employments and manual cheques, as needed
- Prepare T4s, T4As, and pension adjustments for year-end balancing
- Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes
- Act as backup for the Payroll Team
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience in a fast-paced unionized environment
- 2 years' experience with ADP Workforce Now
- PCP Certified or in progress
- Strong understanding of Payroll, HR, processes, and data, including CBA agreements and benefit procedures
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications
- Ability to exercise good judgment in high-pressure, sensitive situations
- Ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong time management skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills
