Your role within the team:
- Provide support to the Engineering and Operations teams.
- Conduct various stress analyses, including Static Strength, Fatigue/Durability, Damage Tolerance, and Finite Element Modeling (FEM) for both metallic and composite structures.
- Coordinate complex analyses with stress personnel across local and remote teams.
- Engage in Material Review Board (MRB) activities to support Operations.
- Participate in technical reviews and offer guidance for repairs across multiple sites.
- Contribute to Engineering development projects as needed.
- Collaborate closely with other Engineering functions (Liaison, Design, Materials & Processes, Weights, Project, Systems, Program, etc.) and Operations (Methods, Quality, and Production).
- Mentor junior members of the stress team and other Engineering disciplines.
- Evaluate and suggest improvements to the group’s analysis methodologies.
What you need to succeed:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in the aerospace sector, preferably with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
- Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) and Airframe Repair is preferred.
- Expertise in Aircraft structural substantiation analysis, including Static, Fatigue/Durability, and Damage Tolerance.
- Proficiency in Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, and Catia V5.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and a sense of responsibility.
- Proactive, with good engineering judgment and initiative.
- Willingness to work weekends if necessary.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
